Westminster Christian Academy is a uniformed school to ensure the neatness of its students and to allow students from all economic backgrounds the freedom to be themselves apart from the stress of competitive dress. Students are to be neat, modest, and well groomed. Students attending any school event or function must be appropriately dressed.
Students are to wear the school uniform at all times. Parents will always be informed by the principal or teacher if dress other than the uniform is appropriate. Uniform pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, jumpers, sweaters and vests may be purchased from the Land’s End school uniform catalog, JC Penney or any other retailer that offers a uniform line. You may also purchase uniform components at Parker School Uniforms (formerly Class Act Schoolwear; now located at 6990 W. 105th [Metcalf 103 Center]; 649-6300).
Shirts, blouses, socks and accessories may be purchased from other vendors.
Parents are responsible for having the WA crest embroidered on all uniform items which require it (sweaters and/or sweater vests). Crest embroidery can be done through the following vendors:
• Land’s End (see below)
• Hometown Threads (in the Wal-Mart at 159th & Metcalf)
Land’s End donates 3 percent of qualifying net sales to Westminster and is able to embroider the WA crest on sweaters, vests and polo shirts for an additional fee. Our preferred school number, which needs to be included with your order, is 9000-5864-5; our logo number is 0326351K.

Guidelines
Footwear: Footwear should consist of regular athletic or dress shoes appropriate in design, color and condition to the total uniform. Flip-flop type shoes are not permissible. Socks must be clean and neat and worn at all times. Socks, tights, knee socks and leggings are to be white or navy.
Hair/Jewelry: Students are to keep their hair neat, well groomed and in styles appropriate to our school setting. There should be no coloring/dyeing of hair using unnatural colors, i.e. blue and green. Boys' hair should be above the eyebrows, above the ears and off the collar. Hair accessories are allowed for girls. Jewelry and hairstyles for girls should be modest and tasteful. Only girls may have pierced ear lobes. No other body piercing is allowed.
Pants/Shorts/Sweaters: All pants and shorts should have belt loops. Shorts and pants cannot have outside (cargo) pockets. Boys and girls in fourth through eighth grades must wear a belt. Belts are to be traditional with a buckle. Shorts (navy or black) are to be worn under jumpers and skirts. Shorts should be worn above the kneecap. Only Westminster sweaters should be worn in the classroom.
Spirit Day: On Fridays, students may wear Westminster Christian Academy t-shirts or sweatshirts. Westminster sweatshirts and t-shirts will be offered for sale at the school. These items may be worn on Fridays or on specific field trips. We also encourage the wearing of these items outside the classroom settings.
