Elementary School Athletics
Westminster has been actively pursuing the development of an interscholastic athletic program and has been accepted as a member of the Metropolitan /files/WCA/Students/sports3.jpgPrivate School League.  This league includes the following schools:  Barstow, Bishop Seabury, Blue Ridge Christian, Dominion Christian, Englewood Christian, Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, Kansas City Christian, Maranatha Academy, Pembroke Hill and St. Paul's Episcopal Day School.  Westminster plans to field teams for boys and girls basketball, boys soccer, and girls volleyball; elementary students in 5th and 6th grades are eligible for these teams.

This league creates an outstanding opportunity to further establish school spirit and fellowship within our student body. Additionally, interscholastic athletics will provide an excellent opportunity for Christian outreach within the metropolitan area.

Junior and Senior High School Athletics
/files/WCA/Students/athletics.jpgThe Athletics program at Westminster Christian Junior and Senior High School is also an integral part of the education of the whole student-body, mind, and spirit. The ultimate goal of our physical education classes is to see ourselves as temples of the Holy Spirit, and to become aware of our need to take personal responsibility for our own health and well-being by making positive lifestyle choices. In addition, our competitive athletic program provides dynamic opportunities for high school athletes. We combine a strong, competitive athletic program with sound values by instilling a love of the game, a strong work ethic, development through quality coaching, a viable season schedule and an emphasis on character, team-building, and sportsmanship. Competitive opportunities are boys' soccer, girls' volleyball, boys' basketball and girls' basketball.
